I would like to e-mail Dan Marino to speak about Autism. I am just a parent of a child with Autism. I feel there is a great need for therapy services for children with Autism. The need for services that will transition children on the Autism Spectrum into adulthood is profound. According to several studies conducted by ADDM approximately 10% of all 8 year olds in 2002 in the United States were on the Autism Spectrum. This means that at least 10% of the graduating class of 2012 will have Autism and need services to assist the transition process into secondary education, employment, and / or independent living. Considering the millions of children residing in the united States, thousands will require transition services by 2012, with thousands more to follow. Unfortunately, our community is not prepared to provide these services to our growing chldren. The United States does not currently have a porgram like Fast Forward that transitons our children into the community in a comprohensive fashion. Fast Forward Therapy belives every child who has the ability to live an independent life as an adult should be given the assistance to reach that goal, and that is our purpose. We recognize the importance and need for these services, because many children on the Autism Spectrum have the ability to grow into adults with jobs, families, and homes. All children will need help, as well. Fast Forward Therapy's sole purpose is to provide the help needed that is tailored to the learning style of children on the Autism Spectrum. With the help of the community, Columbus, Ohio can be the first sight for a comprehensive transition program in the country. This is my purpose in life at this time. I am a mothe of a child with Autism. I would like not only to help my child. Also to help other's. I am in need of direction, and support. Please e-mail me back to say if you would be able to assist me in any way. THANK YOU and may GOD BLESS YOU
