1991	Wins USSR national championships with an 800-meter time of 1:57:23.
1993	Sidelined from World outdoor Championships due to back injury.
1995	Gives birth to first child, Anastasiya, in March.
1996	Wins two gold medals at Summer Olympics.
1997	Finishes last in 1500-meter at World semifinals due to Achilles injury.
1999	Wins first and only World Track and Field Championship gold medal
1999	Has surgery on Achilles tendons.
2000	Injury during 1500-meter forces her withdrawal from Olympic Games
2000	Retires from international competition.
